Participate in Board Meetings The Board of Trustees welcomes public comment during its open meetings. Participation is governed by Board Bylaw 2345: Public Participation at Board Meetings. To participate during meetings, please complete a “Request to Address the Board of Trustees” form at the meeting and give it to the Board Secretary prior to the start of the meeting. Speakers are limited to three minutes each, and total public participation on any agenda item is limited to 15 minutes.

The Board of Trustees governs the Pasadena Area Community College 区. 它是 the policy-forming body of the 区, deriving power from, and subject to, the U.S. Constitution, statutes of the State of California, and directives from the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges.

The Board consists of seven members, one from each of the seven trustee areas in the 区. Qualified voters in each of the seven areas (which include Arcadia, a portion of El Monte, La Canada Flintridge, Pasadena, Rosemead, San Marino, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, and Temple City) elect a trustee for a four-year 术语. The Superintendent-President of the 区 serves as Secretary to the Board.

The powers and duties of the Board include approval of college policy, community services of the college interpreting the college needs to the public, adoption of an annual budget for the district, approval of expenditure of all 区 funds, acquisition of property for 区 purposes, and approval of employment of academic and classified personnel.
